Archipelago has the highest literacy rate in the country. A university (headquarters of the National University of Colombia is located on the island of San Andres), a technical center and near future, a CDT (Center for Tourism Development) donated by the Polytechnic University of Valencia

Language

Under Article 10 of the Constitution of Colombia, are officers, both Castilian as the Creole of San Andres and Providencia, San Andrés Creole English (Creole English), spoken by the native population of the archipelago

religion

San Andres has Catholics, Baptists (majority between the natives), Adventists, Christian mission, Pentecostals and other Protestant groups, Jehovah's Witnesses and Muslims and also Jews, whose religions have respectively mosque and synagogue on the island of San Andres.
